Filesatu.co.id, Denpasar – Bali | 17 pieces of evidence have been submitted showing that Justin did not provide physical or emotional support. Juli Artiningsih, the Respondent, again attended the Divorce Petition case hearing at the Denpasar Religious Court, Jalan Cokroaminoto Gang Katalia I Denpasar, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
Meanwhile, Justin William Hughes bin Rex Clark Hughes, the Petitioner, was absent from the Divorce Petition case hearing.
“Today’s agenda was the submission of documentary evidence. We have submitted 17 documents indicating that, within the lawsuit, there are details that support the claim that alimony was provided from 2017 for three consecutive years,” said the Respondent’s attorney, Dr. (c) Indra Triantoro, S.H., M.H., from Elice Law Firm, in an interview with the media on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
It was revealed in the documentary evidence that alimony was only provided for certain years, and in the last two years, particularly documents T-16 and T-17, there were no transfers showing that the Petitioner provided alimony.
“This strongly suggests that the Petitioner intentionally did not provide support to our client,” he emphasized.
Based on this conclusion, the matter was reported to the panel of judges concerning the fulfillment of Madhiyah and Mut’ah alimony, arguing that the Petitioner intentionally sought divorce to abandon the Respondent, hence Mut’ah alimony must also be provided.
“In addition, Iddah alimony for three months must be provided to our client. This was conveyed to the panel from the beginning of the hearing, whether there were any efforts for reconciliation and so on to get back together,” he explained.
Even though attempts for reconciliation were made, they were obstructed by a third party through the Petitioner’s legal counsel.
Therefore, his party faced difficulties, but both parties are still legally married.
“Why was it obstructed, suggesting an indication of bad faith from the Petitioner towards our client,” he asserted.
Therefore, Indra Triantoro requested the panel of judges at the Denpasar Religious Court to issue a fair ruling for the Respondent, Juli Artiningsih.
“Since the Chief Judge was absent during the hearing, we couldn’t examine our two witnesses who were present, thus the hearing is postponed until June 25, 2024,” he concluded.
